If you don’t want to take everyone back to your Loved One’s or your own home after a funeral, whether you are providing catering yourself, or requesting a “lay and leave” home service from caterers, then consider venues who will provide food and drink for yourselves and your guests. Starting from £12+ per head with a minimum of 10 is not unusual to be quoted for a basic finger buffet menu including tea and coffee.
Thinking about these questions is useful before approaching venues:
Do I want sole use of a room or venue, or satisfied with the use of an area within a larger area (useful if a smaller gathering)?
Can people find it easily and is there plenty of parking?
What sort of food would I prefer?
Do I want a finger buffet or a sit down meal?
Do I want to include tea, coffee and alcoholic drinks?
Do I need waiter service to help with older and disabled people?
Is there good step-free access for older and disabled people, including adapted toilets?
Here are some venues that our customers have been pleased with:
We had kindness shown to family regarding arrangements for all the funeral planning respect and trust was shown to us all. Our particular thanks would be to Bram for his support to us and all the staff and arrangements for order of service.
